" What are the challenges for coastal economies in the Channel? Trends, current situations and local experience in coastal towns"
The annual Channel Arc Manche conference aims to create a forum for reflection, discussion and debate on the challenges faced by the common area shared by the French-English Channel. It is a time to meet others, exchange experiences and project ideas that foster inter-regional and cross-border cooperation.
The Channel Arc Manche Assembly is pleased to invite you to its annual conference focused this year on coastal economies and issues relating to coastal towns on both sides of the Channel.
The 2009 Channel Arc Manche Conference will look at local examples, addressing questions relating to coastal towns and their maritime activities (eg business, leisure, fishing) as well as the pressures they are under (eg financial, environmental). It will also assess experience gained in the area of coastal town regeneration on both sides of the Channel.
The conference will be held in French and English
