The Cross-Channel Atlas
The Cross-Channel Atlas is a Franco-British scientific collaboration between university teams from the CNRS, the INSEE and the Minister for Equipment in France and university teams in Great Britain. All teams strove towards two different objectives. First, fundamental research was encouraged in order to improve understanding of the dynamics of cross-border area characterised by both significant European integration and the major countries that are Great Britain and France. The second aim was social and economic efficiency, by providing guidelines for employement and country planning policies.

Channel Spaces, A World Within Europe
The bilingual book « Channel Spaces » was written by Pascal Buléon and Louis Shurmer-Smith within the framework of the Espace Manche Development Initiative Project. It is a large overview of the various issues related to the Channel maritime area, such as its history, fisheries, the environment, ports or tourism. « Channel Spaces » is also an Atlas as it includes numerous maps and detailed statistics.

The maps of the strategic vision for the Channel area
Within the framework of the EMDI project, a strategic vision for the Channel area was published. The aim of this paper is to highlight maritime issues as well as stakes that are specific to the Channel area in order to promote them more efficiently at the institutional level. Several priorities stemmed from these observations, you can learn more about them in the strategic vision document.
